USA Boxing Certified Trainer & Founder of Thunder Boxing Club
Got interested in boxing after watching "Rocky" at a young age. Picked up my first pair of gloves after watching an Arturo Gatti fight when I was nine and been in love with the sport ever since. I was born with congenital heart disease and had open heart surgery when I was four.
Even though I was allowed to wrestle and do boxing for fitness, I had to sneak actually getting in the ring from my parents and doctors. I knew I couldn't keep it from them for long and it was highly dangerous for me to continue, I had to hang up my gloves before I really got started. I have always been passionate about the sport, and I knew I was much more than just a fan. I had a stroke when I was twenty-two from complications with my heart issue that left my left side paralyzed for a bit.
Boxing once again was a pinnacle in my life, and it helped me get back full mobility in my left side. After going through rehab and fighting my way back to health, I knew right then that I wanted to help people achieve their fitness, health, and life goals. What better way than through boxing! I got my USA Boxing certification and have been coaching for six years.
I love learning anything and everything about health and fitness and got my Personal Training Certificate through the International Sports Science Association. I plan to get certified in other categories of the fitness world to continue my learning and be the best coach I can be.
